"Never Say Die" is the #6 song from Mike's "Texas in the Man" album originally released in September 2007 and the 8th track to actually see the European National Top 40 Chart.

Mike Parrish is very pleased to announce that he has been awarded the 2008 International Fame Games Radio Effigy Award for BEST BLUES ROCK ARTIST. "Texas in the Man" was submitted to Fame Games in 2007 and, although the song is the title track from Mike's solo album, this song is actually a collaboration between Mike and his lifelong friend Sammy Hundley. In fact, "Texas in the Man" is the first actual Parrish-Hundley song ever written and recorded. "I'm very pleased to receive the 2008 Effigy Award for Best Blues Rock Artist and both Sammy and I are completely honored because of the caliber of artists who are continually featured on the show. There were thousands of nominees for these awards so I have to say that I was honored just to have become one of the five finalists in the Blues Rock category but even more so honored to have actually won the award. First and foremost, I wish to thank our fans because without their continued love and support none of this could happen - ever, I'd like to thank the reviewers, the expert panel of judges, including Mr. Tony Cowell and the entire International Fame Games crew for their awesome support and endless dedication to bringing independent artists to the worldwide stage. I want to especially thank Sammy Hundley who, I feel, should have been named as a co-recipient of this prestigious and coveted award as well. Sammy and I wrote, recorded and routinely perform this song together but it ended up on my first solo album.
